Good question! Characters will get paid monthly in their local currency, whatever that might be — but their paychecks will be sent to them at home. Since food, board, entertainment via the holodeck, and standardized medical services are all provided at no cost aboard the station, there's nothing to spend any credits on!

(As a note: characters who incur fines, such as for causing excessive injury to another crew member or damage to the ship, will have their fines deducted from future paychecks.)

Characters will have the opportunity to earn space-standardized credits (accepted on most planets) in future missions, though!
